Gnocchi Di Patate or potato gnocchi is a very popular dish across the world.
They vary in different parts of the world in their shape and ingredients, but have a strong tradition in Campania in Italy where they are also known as strangulaprievete (strozzapreti).
In fact, they are a potato “dumpling” the Italian way.
Traditionally Gnocchi di Patate is cooked on a Sunday and served baked with a good Neapolitan tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, a well-known dish called “Gnocchi alla Sorrentina”.
