Grapes : Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino.
This Chianti comes form a small hilly region located between Florence and Siena : the “CLASSICO” DOCG where traditionally the fullest, richest wines were produced. Today Chianti classico is considered the iconic representation of Sangiovese producing wines with more complex structure, and layers of earth and spice, also more suitable for aging. This complex Chianti is an explosion of red cherry, currant and marjoram aromas. Medium-bodied with very good concentration. Lovely balance, very good acidity and freshness.
Food pairing : Chianti pairs brilliantly with tomato sauces, pizza and pasta bakes such as lasagne but it’s also a great wine with a simple grill or roast or even a burger.
